HI HI,
I dont know how much longer im going to be able to write everyone, im just throwing that out. by the time i write to ya'll and then to my friends im like 3 hours into things, haha so i might just be sending one big letter to the family and i will try to address everyones concerns/problems/comments/predicaments/funny jokes and lives.
This week was a lot better, even though we only got to teach one lesson to Amy, /sigh. Sheilas been having problems getting people to work on her house and shes been "running in circles" so we werent able to go and teach her this week....i told her we would be happy to help but oh well. so we are going to have to push her date back and throw her coffee maker away. So we talked to this girl on tuesday. she told us she was blackmailed into joining the church and had a lot of questions.....so we werent very excited for this meeting. She was a strange person. She had like 4 pages of questions to ask us. I cant remember them all but things like. Can you repent if you feel no sorrow for what you did? can you believe in other religions beliefs and still be mormon? can woman prophesy if so, how can you know if its true? Why arent we allowed to have tattoos? Do we believe in symbology? she started talking about terra cards and occult stuff, haha so we...well mostly Elder Anderson and her friend(who is a RM) answered most of the questions but i threw my two cents in. I think she was mainly making sure that what she already believed was ok with the church. So that was an interesting time. She wants to have more meetings because she has a lot more to ask.....yay. Then we didnt do a whole lot the rest of the week. We talked to Amy and taught her the third lesson. Their car broke down so thats why they havent been to church for a while. So i told her id find her a ride.....i brought it up in Priesthood and nobody volunteered....so im going to have to use my missionary powers and order the members to bring her. You cant deny my wishes.
We did some service on Saturday. It was supposed to take like 2 hours......11 hours later we were home. hah. We built a deck for a lady and it was dang cold i thought my toes were going to fall off. I got pretty mad because everyone was explaining how to use the saw and the drill gun and measurements to me and they wouldnt let me tell them i already knew....so i just listened and had some patience. Its frustrating when you can do something better than someone yet they are telling you how to use the saw and stuff. funny people. so halfway through i was sick of just standing there with nothing to do so i went inside with Sis. Lazano and she was pretty happy that i did. You could tell she wanted someone to talk to. Everytime i would start going back she would call me back to help her cook or tell me something. shes a nice lady. So that took up our entire Saturday, which was fine by me, because we had no appointments or anything to do. Afterwards we went back to Bro. Lees house and he fed us Chili. It was the first time i have ever tried it! I had seconds haha. He thought it was crazy that i was american and hadnt tried chili. Then he talked about being in the army and some stories and his job and things. He was one of the main guys in homeland security. He brings up his "six-figure income" when we are talking to investigators and stuff. not bragging or anything, he just tries to get his point across. hes just a funny Korean man, good guy. I had to correct him like 4 times yesterday in Elders quorum meetings, he always writes things down wrong, haha i love that guy.
So what i hear from Adrian he is doing pretty good it seems. His mission is dang dang strict i guess. Which i think is good for him. I cant wait to see how he has changed in two years. he is going to be so smart about things. What a good boy. But ya he is good i think, he is always joking with me and stuff. Im not exactly sure what his favorite candy is, but i think we bought a lot of licorice in the day. Except i dont think he likes cherry or something. Its been so long! He likes dots. He will eat anything you send at him im pretty sure. He will just be happy to have something from you guys.
So all the missionaries are now supposed to get swine flu shots and stuff. yippee, i dont know how much they cost. but im pretty sure i can just punch the flu in the face before it enters into me. so ill be fine without it, So im back on the soda. CURSE YOU MCDONALDS!!!!! YOUR CRAFTY MONOPOLY GAME HAS BEATEN ME ONCE AGAIN!!!! I have every piece but the winning pieces on my board. Im going to win dangit! so anyways im eating healthy.....and i have gained a few pounds since the start of this stupid game. Cursed game....
Sounds like things are going well with the wedding preparations! haha dangit im so excited and so depressed. haha just messin. It will be cool. Just make sure the hotties kiss my cardboard cut-out(Not you Ryan) okay that would be wierd..... nevermind. Ill try to get some good pictures of me with my tie for yous.< yep famous michigan talk. Couple three weeks ago i was mowing yous lawn. unedumacated.
Im feeling a lot more comfortable with things...finally. yesterday at church i felt like i was running things. I was making fun of the ol timers and crackin jokes at people just like the good ol days! It felt good. I felt a lot more "at home" This time with the people. I love the members here they are so dang funny. Its going to be sad leaving this place......they help us out a lot. and we get almost 100% home teaching done almost every week! They havent gotten a letter from the Prophet about how well they are doing, so that is pretty sweet i think.
Im getting a lot better with lessons. It has taked me way way too long. But when you had a trainer that never did comp study....hah i hate comp study to be honest. But im way more comfortable and im learning a lot. Im planning on reading through a lot of books. You asked what i wanted for Christmas...books! Little had a Jesus the Christ book that was leatherbound and looked more like scriptures that i was coveting. That big one that i have is impossible to read comfortably...haha, and i think Lucy Mack Smith would be good too. So thats my wish list. A book! yay! books are good.
OH i have a bone to pick, kinda. That cheese cutter was a family earloom! i couldnt believe you sent THE ONE! Could you not find another? I feel bad if i took the only one. Im going to etch Larsen into it and keep it in the family forever. Everytime i use it im just amazed at how wonderful it is. Those packages i got were awesome! Grandmas cookies were sooooo good! They only lasted me three days. I was always eating them. *drool* And grandma sent me a bunch of money which i was so soooo grateful for! I am so poor! I was going to sell my guitar and buy another but then i realized how poor i was, so im stuck with my guitar i have now. woe is me! So that money was a blessing for me.
Well I gotta go, so i better finish up. I love you guys! thanks for everything you do! Scriptures are true! read them again. I learned so much after finishing it again. Its the third time i have read it but it was like i was learning things for the first time. I feel so much better after reading through what the prophets of old have written and reading the experiences and challenges that came to them, that arent much different than what we face now. wooo doggie! Its so fun to learn, i love it. gotta go! LOVES
